Seraphina’s eyes shimmered—a quiet contentment radiating from her after everything we had endured. Lila's unwavering spirit radiated from her bright green eyes, a wordless vow to always protect those dear to her. "We make quite the formidable team," she teased, her words punctuated by a genuine sense of gratitude for our strong bond. As the Shadow King’s Bane hummed with newfound power, the very air around us seemed to crackle and sizzle with electric energy, amplifying our sense of accomplishment in the room. The flickering candlelight danced across our faces, casting an ethereal glow on our triumphant expressions.

As the echoes of our triumph faded into the twilight, a sudden shift in Lilith's demeanor caught my eye. Dark energy seemed to writhe beneath her perfect porcelain skin, causing her usually serene facade to contort into a mask of tension. Her trembling fingers clutched her staff with a desperate grip, radiating an icy chill that sent shivers down my spine. The air crackled with menacing, setting my nerves on edge and warning me of impending danger.

Lilith’s gaze lingered on me, her violet eyes clouded, lost in a sea of emotions I couldn’t quite decipher. The silver streaks in her dark hair seemed to gleam ominously under the ambient glow of the dagger. Before I could ask what was wrong, she stepped forward, gripping the dagger tightly in her slender fingers.

"Lilith…?” My voice softened, barely breaking the charged tension between us. Her hesitance was like a shadow passing over her features as she struggled visibly with some unspoken turmoil.

Her violet eyes, usually so enigmatic and sure, now darted between each of us in the group as if seeking solace or forgiveness. Seraphina's gaze, usually cool and composed, softened with a flicker of understanding. Lila tensed beside me.

I looked down and realized that the dagger rested now in Lilith’s hands—only Lilith’s.

"Lilith, what's going on?" My voice was a mix of confusion and concern as I watched her grip the dagger tighter. The intensity in her eyes sent a shiver down my spine—a stark contrast to the playful banter we'd shared just moments before. Lilith’s ethereal grace seemed fractured, darkness seeping into her like an ink stain spreading across the page.

Her pallor seemed even more pronounced beneath the flickering torchlight, and the silver streaks in her hair appeared like ghostly lightning against the blackness. I could almost hear the quickening pulse of unease thrumming through the group, a silent alarm that something was amiss.

"Is everything okay?" Lila asked.

Lilith's hands trembled, hovering above her lap as she struggled to find the right words. I could sense the emotions roiling beneath the surface of her calm facade - a mix of anger, fear, and uncertainty that left me unsettled.
